I'm a little more than useless.

So today, I finally got a lot of work done. I was doing research for my Social and Behavioral Sciences and Public Health class and stumbled upon the blog of the CEO of Beth Israel (if you're from Boston you know this is a big time hospital, and you might also know this is where I go for my allergy shots). It was awesome to read. He posts really interesting information, and there was a really good post with funny e-mails he has received. Anyway, it's really cool and makes me really happy to be in the SPH! Yay!

Hot men are hot!

I seem to be running into a lot of hot men this weekend. It has been fun. It all started on Friday night at 7/11. As I'm walking out of the store, this guy tells me I have amazing eyes. That was pretty sweet. Then Dom, KC, and I are riding a superly packed T, so I say "Good thing I took a shower today!" because I am pretty much standing on the guy behind me. Eventually he starts chatting with me, but Dom, KC, and I get off the T after a minute so it's kinda awkward. Anyway, the rest of that night was fun hanging out with the girls and seeing some old friends from Towers.

On Saturday I'm walking to work at the TTC for the America East track championships (btw, congrats to BU!!!), and this guy is jogging behind me. While he passes me he totally checks me out and says "gorgeous!" then keeps jogging and turning around every few steps to look at me. I just laughed to myself. Then while I'm working this guy walks through the door and looks at me (I'm standing right by the door because I'm the ticket taker) and says "you have beautiful eyes." I think he's a little sketchy because 1) he's with his wife and daughter and 2) he is trying to get in with the tickets from the previous day. So I tell him that he can purchase his tickets for today at the ticket window. Coooool man. I do not accept flattery! So moving on. That night I signed up to work at the friends of hockey lounge at the hockey game. The friends lounge is for all the people who donate lots of money to the team and for the parents of current players. They get the special perks aka free drinks and snacks. So I'm just checking people off the list and two men walk up. So I just greet them like normal then ask for the last name, and one dude says "Eruzione." Of course his name is on the list and I let them in. The next man in line says "That's Mike Eruzione, do you know who that is?" And of course I'm an idiot and don't know. So he tells me that Mike Eruzione was the Capitan of the miracle on ice team. Yup, I'm an idiot and didn't know that! Anyway, a bunch of other people come in, and let me just tell you that the MacArthur's are a very good looking family. I've known that Pete is a hot dude, but holy crap his brother is amazingly gorgeous! Also, I don't remember if it was the Gilroy's or the Weston's that were also very attractive. In any case, it was a good time working and admiring all the hot men who are hot!

It's always nice to have a boost of confidence, and this weekend was awesome for me! I definitely needed some extra attention because lately I haven't been so happy with my dating situation. I don't know what it is, but I honestly don't know how to flirt with people, especially boys that I actually like! I think I just get nervous and start thinking too much. It's really frustrating when you really like somebody but are scared to show your feelings. And I really don't like how it's now ok for girls to make the first move. Even though some girls are good at this, I am not. I feel like guys are lazy and expect girls to show interest first. Really? You want me to do that? Do you remember that I'm incredibly shy? Call me traditional, but I think guys should be the ones to ask the girl out. It doesn't even have to be all awkward like "Do you want to go to dinner with me on Friday?" Obviously, that is the goal, but you can be smooth and say something like "You're really cool. We should hang out on Friday and get to know each other better." It's all about how you ask. On AIM = not cool. On the phone = awesome. And yes Ricky, maybe I'm just setting myself up to be disappointed, but I think guys can step it up. Girls like being chased not being hinted at and expected to make the first move.

It bothers me that I think about guys and dating, but I think it's natural to want to be with somebody. Especially since I'm a girl AND all my cousins my age are either married or are in a serious relationship. I don't really think I should be that worried though. I'm only 20 and have only been single for like six months. It's not like I'm completely obsessed with having a boyfriend, but it would be nice to have somebody who appreciates me and not just my beautiful eyes. No, I'm not conceited, just used to hearing people tell me I have beautiful, pretty, or amazing eyes. I just want a guy who is original and actually tries to get to know me. Maybe I should be like Georgia and go for the men 7 or 8 years older than me ;) Or I could just stop thinking about it! Ok great.

Into a place where peace can search me out.

I have two exams, one assignment, and one paper thesis and title due this week. So I'm a little stressed. Also, this big event my class has been planning all year happens in three weeks. We still have a bunch of work to do for that, and I really want it to go well. At least my mom will be here!!! I'm so excited to see her :) Then the next weekend is spring break! I'm staying in Boston this year. Dominique and I are going to see Relient K that Monday and I couldn't be happier to see them. AND Dominique turns 21 over break!!! Whoo hoo. Unfortunately, I will be in New York. That is good and bad. Bad because I won't get to see Dom, but wicked sweet because I get to see Stacy from IA! and I get to meet her bf for the first time. So that's all folks. Not a lot going on. Just planning on cool things happening soon, but for now its time for school. Btw, I think BU School of Public Health (BUSPH) is fantastic! On Thursday nights my 2.5 hour class is basically like a talk show and fun activities. It's awesome, and it makes me feel smart sometimes. Anyway, peace out brah.
