This week has not been fun. Well, most of it has been fine, just not the studying forever part. I've definitely had some good study breaks though. Anyway, I'm so glad tomorrow is my last final and that I get to go home! Yay for home and brothers and mi madre and my puppy :) I'm too tired to write about any topic in particular. I just wanted to say that I'm really happy finals are almost over and I get to see my family and friends in the great place known as MINNEAPOLIS! Also, Iowa is pretty cool and I get to see some wicked awesome people down there, too.
To all my Boston friends - you are the best and I will miss you dearly and I can't wait for next semester. We are going to have the biggest snowball fight in the history of the commons. So bring your snowpants and your game faces. Watch out. I'm gonna bust out my elf like snowball skills. That's right.
Ok, last thing. Happy Birthday, Jeremy Holtan. You are the best and I can't wait to see you 456486453 times over break!
Mmmmmuuuuaaahhhh!
I have two new stories, and both involve me going to the bathroom...
Story #1: Last Tuesday at the hockey game against UMASS, I had to find a water fountain because I needed water. I couldn't find one, so I decided to just get water from a sink in the bathroom. So I walk into the bathroom and down the short hallway and then I see a long, empty row of urinals. It took me a second, but I booked it out of there once I realized I was not in the correct place! Good thing nobody saw me! Haha, I'm such a nerd. Maybe I should start wearing my glasses to hockey games.
Story #2: (This is a story about real love and friendship.) Last night at dinner I drank about 6 glasses of water and a ginger ale, so my kidneys were working hard. As Dominique and I settle into Anthony's car, I tell Dom that I have to piddle. Then she smoothly says,"Well you can piddle in my hands" as she cups her hands together for me. I don't think she realized exactly what she was offering, and it took me a second to understand what she said. Of course we both immediately laughed like crazy. What a good friend. That's true love. Dom, you are the best and I heart you forever!
Last night Kasey and I were doing some grocery shopping in Shaws when that slow dance song by Eric Clapton came on. You know which one I'm talking about. So anyway, we were in the cookie aisle when I hear these two guys say the song reminds them of seventh grade dances. I was thinking they were funny and then even more funny when they walk by and ask Kasey and me if we want to slow dance with them! It was great. I thought it would be fun, but I declined because I smelled like stink - from working out. But now that is on my list of things to do. Slow dance with a stranger in a grocery store...
Last week I was sick, and it was not fun. Dominique and I were talking about the kleenex in our room. We agreed it was not very high quality, and Dom said she wouldn't mind paying a little extra for nice kleenex because red noses are not pretty. This was my response "Well tomorrow we can go throw down at CVS for nice kleenex." Throw down? Am I really gangsteR now? According to urbandictionary.com the definition of "throw down" is: to fight; beat up; get whooped. And this is the example: julie: me and dis hoe bout to throw it down afta school, you comin through? friend: fo sho i am comin that hoes bout to get whooped!! There was another more appropriate definition: To contribute to the purchase of something. See, I know what I'm talking about. I live up to my "G is for gangsta" shirt thank you very much.
This week has been crazy, but unfortunately I do not have any good stories to report. However, today I did get a lot of new music, and I'm happy for that. Music is good. It's like sugar for my ears.
I love working with my amazing friends. I love meeting well respected people who have similar intrests. I love my family, old friends, and my puppy. And I still love sugar!
I decided to be really cool and follow the blog fad. I'm kinda random sometimes, right, Nickypoo? So this will be fun. The decision to write this blog was made at 2 am on a Wednesday night, so clearly I thought about it a lot. I like when people laugh, so if I can provide some humor then I'm happy. Also, the topic of my writing class freshman year was negative emotion (it really wasn't that bad), and I learned that writing for 15 mins. a day can help relieve stress and help you figure out how to solve problems. So maybe it will be good for me to write. Anyway, now you know.
Story #1. Last week I was busy with school work. A lot of school work. Dominique and I were at the GSU eating some quality Panda Express and drinking some Nakedness. Then it hit me, orange chicken and strawberry kiwi juice tastes like Christmas. Yup. Like Christmas. I tasted it, and it was amazing. I don't know how you can taste a holiday, but I guess you can. At least I did. Anyway, Dom and I started talking about Christmas traditions. I always remember Austin and my mom making puppy chow, and when I told Dominique she just laughed at me. I realized puppy chow sounds a little funny. Who makes puppy chow? Btw, it's chex covered in chocolate and powdered sugar and it's amazing. Maybe that's when my sugar addiction started?
Anyway, sugar is great and I love it.
